Get on board! Adventure, fun, teamwork await! We train on two-person sailboats at Lake Lansing, and race schools at sanctioned competitions in the Midwest League of the national Interscholastic Sailing Association (ISSA - hssailing.org, missa.hssailing.org) - the official U.S. League for youth interscholastic sailboat racing.
For grades 6-8 (JV) and 9-12 (Varsity).
Fall season runs late-August (prep), and Sept - Nov 15 (racing).
Spring season runs mid-March (prep), all of April and May (racing).
We are sailors, coaches and parents training with primary support from Lansing Sailing Club (lansingsailing.org) in ISSA sanctioned teams competing in ISSA sanctioned regattas.
Thank you also to our larger sailing community and organizations - Michigan State University Sailing Team, Michigan State University Sailing Center, Americas Boating Club (Power Squadron), Haslett-Okemos Kiwanis Club, Culvers of Okemos, Bath Meijers.
Only one child at a time can be registered, but can be registered for multiple items.
Payment is for the each Racing Season, plus any rental of equipment (drysuits and boots for colder weather).
Pinnies
(racing jerseys) are bought separately if needed. They run bout $40. Generic pinnies can be used until individual pinnie is ordered.
Drysuits and boots are sometimes purchased outside of program by parents - we have vendor discounts and links to sites with good deals, and fitting advice.
If there are financial hurdles that prevent participation, please talk to a Coach or Admin.
