Minimum physical, cognitive and language requirements to operate and move on a sailboat, and understand and respond to directions from instructors must be met by student. These classes have both on-shore and on-the-water components. Safety considerations make it necessary that students remain in scheduled activities, in the locations in which they occur, and pay attention to instruction. Your child is responsible for their own belongings (please labeLwith their name). Cell phones will be stowed by the student during classes, and attention paid to the instruction. If a child cannot or refuses to participate in on the water activities, or remain in their group and location on shore, disrupts classes, or engages in inappropriate or illegal activities, parents will be contacted, and may be requested to pickup child early.
Your bringing of your child to classes is an indication your child is healthy. If your child is ill, or recently exposed to infectious disease, please let us know they will be absent, and do not bring them to class.
It is expected children may crew on a boat with another child or coach, as part of the learning process.
